The fun never ends!

A very cold day, which led into a wonderful Christmas season.

But wait....there's more!

This lovely section show cases the boys going door to door. What it doesnt' show is the group of children coming up behind Noah and Harrison, and scaring the candy out of fragile Mr. Harrison. It was tramatic!

We also get a look at Fr. Schweiger's birthday dinner. Good thing the smoke alarm was temporarily turned off...or was that a bad thing?

A long time coming....

It occured to me, that I had run out of room on my camera's memory card. Anticipated a vacation within the next couple of weeks, I thought it would be a good idea to clear out the memory card. During this process, I found pictures from last September. if I was just now uploading those pics to my computer, clearly, I had no blogged, and therefore not posted anything since said September (a quick look online confirmed my suspicions). Therefore, for your viewing pleasure....2009-2010 in review, with the Philson Family.

Above you will see a late summer sunday with Grandpa, Dad, and Noah playing on a Tank in Beatrice. This was definately one of my favorite places as a kid.
Directly below that, Kim being "artsy" with the boys, the result of that talent, and the boys prepared to score some candy!

The adventures of Harrison and his new bed....kind of

Harrison has a new bed. Not really. One side of the crib was removed so that the kid can get in and out at his leisure, but right after removing the side, we added a rail, so that he can't fall out. Thus, he's still sleeping in a crib.
However, the kid did have fun exploring the changes immediately following the transition. Big-brother Noah was kind enough to show Harrison how to fully experience his new sleeping apparatus.

Oh my goodness, A TRACTOR!!!!!

Noah loves tractors. Not just any tractors, the green and yellow ones that sport the deer on the side.
We had a great opportunity a few weeks ago to enjoy Cobblestone ( a big fair type thing) in Falls City. Naturally tractors were there in abundance.

Noah, literally sat quietly for close to ten minutes watching the tractor in the background, just staring at it. I've never seen him so hypnotized or well behaved.
Kim and I are thinking of purchasing a Deere to store in our garage as a means of calming him down.
Here we see the kiddos taking a closer look.

On our way back to Nana and Papa's house, we stumbled upon a couple fo gentlemen and their vintage Johnny Popper, which just so happened to be running. Noah was thrilled to be offered the chance to sit on this classic tractor. And of course, what Noah does, Harrison has to do.

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree

Harrison managed to get his hand's on one of my library loaned Spider-Man graphic novels.
Rather than tearing it apart as I originally feared he would, he performed quite surprisingly...by "reading it".
Here's the proof.

P.S. In case you're wondering, I did not cry with pride and joy as I witnessed this event. Instead I did a mental fist pump, and complimented myself on ensuring that my youngest son, just as I did, would get beat up through elementary school. I'm so proud.

Harry gets a haircut

It was a rough experience for Kim, but the little guy needed a hair cut, and since it was 5:30 on a Sunday night, there was no one else to do it. So, Kim made the cuts.
